Achieving Green Sustainability

With a growing population and the need for more and more consumables, Americans are starting to realize that recycling is the key to green sustainability.  Creospan has been making a conscious effort to reduce reuse and recycle all materials that pass though our business.  Some of our efforts include using a digital document management system, environmentally friendly storage, and participating in our building recycling program.   Creospan would like to share some of the recycling initiatives with those who are interested in our green sustainability efforts.

How can you make a difference?
Reduce the amount and the toxicity of your trash by reusing containers and products.  It saves our natural resources, reduces toxic waste and costs for communities and businesses.

Recycle as much as possible and buy more recycled products.   Recycling reduces the need for land filling and incineration, prevents pollution, saves energy, decreases emissions of greenhouse gases that contribute to global climate changes, conserves our natural resources, and eventually helps sustain our environment for our future generations.

Make a compost of your organic waste such as your food scraps and yard trimmings.  You can do this by using natural microorganisms (mainly bacteria and fungi) in your backyard to decompose your organic waste.   This will help create your own fertilizer and reduce the amount of trash that goes to into landfills.
